mwbqTreeBASEcite-ref-1[1] è un deposito di dati mwcgfilogenetici pubblicati in riviste scientifiche. Negli studi di mwcwfilogenetica, i dati di ricerca sono raccolti o generati come osservazioni comparative (es.: matrici di stato del carattere o allineamenti multipli in sequenza) create in un insieme di mwdataxa, mwdqmetadati sui taxa, e gli alberi filogenetici che sono afferenti alla migliore descrizione delle relazioni evolutive tra i taxa.

Il progetto nacque nel mwdw1994cite-ref-2[2]cite-ref-3[3] con un finanziamento della mwgaNational Science Foundation statunitense. Una riprogettazione ricominciò sotto il progetto CIPREScite-ref-4[4] nel marzo mwhq2010, a cui fu finanziata in aggiunta un'interfaccia web service mwhgRESTful con infrastrutture di ricerca mwhwCQLcite-ref-5[5] e National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent), che ospita la base di dati e il mwjqweb server.
